There isn’t much ‘autumn’ where I live. Summer and Monsoon and Winter just perfectly blend into each other. Hence though I’ve often found yellowed leaves on the ground, I don’t remember the last time I saw one fall off of a tree. One cool January morning while I looked out my window, I saw a strong breeze shake the tree outside. The tree gently waved it’s branches and shed hundreds of yellow leaves, all at once. As I looked in awe at the leaves gracefully floating down, I can’t help but wonder if this is why God sends a gust of tribulation in our lives once in a while. So that we shed off all those parts of us that were rotting and unnecessary, and be ready for the world with fresh leaves.
Love the comparison. Amen. 🙂
